Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior PHP Programmer to lead the development and maintenance of web-based applications and systems. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of PHP and its frameworks, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to mentor junior developers. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development Leadership: Design, develop, and maintain robust PHP-based applications and systems.
  • Framework Expertise: Work with modern PHP frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter to implement scalable solutions.
  • Database Management: Design and optimize database schemas and queries using MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent.
  • Code Quality: Ensure high-quality code through best practices, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • System Architecture: Contribute to the design and architecture of applications to ensure maintainability and scalability.
  • API Integration: Develop and integrate RESTful and SOAP APIs, ensuring smooth communication between services.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues, including performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, UI/UX designers, and frontend developers to achieve project goals.
  • Security Standards: Implement security best practices to safeguard applications against common vulnerabilities.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
    • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
    • Understanding of modern architectural patterns like microservices.
    • Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD).
